I don't see any reason in biology for age to prevent muscle gain. If you were a total beginner at age 50 to start training, of course you will gain muscle. That's sad news. I never met the guy but he was always digging up information or happy to send spare magazines from his collection. He was happy to help anyone who had the same passion for physical culture
