Paschall had to mirror some of Hoffman's aversion to bodybuilding in his cartoons , making sport of beach muscl...

Re: Update on bench press training

The leg extension / leg curl machine caused no problems for me . I did them as slow deliberate movements over a 6-8 rep range , pausing at the top of each movement . Lindsay was a ferocious hockey player of small stature (5'8" and 160#) who's great skill and leadership guided the Wings to several Stanley Cups. He also was the fi...

Re: Update on bench press training

John Have you ever considered getting a weighted vest and doing squats. The vest distributes the payload (20,40 or 60#) over the entire torso so no ecessive downward pressure on neck & spine . Also hipbelt squats are a nice alternative with payload dangling from the belt . You can rig the hip harnes...

Re: The Best Physical Culturists of the 1920's

Interesting posts . Current HC bodybuilding is on the decline via attendance
promotion , publication . No history or romance connected with it as it was in the distant past .
Not much chance of reliving the past as it's all about making money today instead of promoting
a life style .
