Re: Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.

Hi All The sledgehammer which Joe Price is using in the photo supplied by Danny Boy looks to me like a slogging hammer also known as a flogging hammer. Such hammers were once widely used to hit slogging spanners to persuade nuts to turn, in shipyards, railcards and on chemical plants, which is where...

Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.

Does anyone know how to sort out this blockage on posting attachments?? I've been trying to add some comments and pictures to the Joe Price Gloucester Blacksmith topic for at least a week and have been getting the same message in response:- "Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached." Re: The mystery of Charley Hackenschmidt

His name may be familiar to some of the old timers amongst you -he was Tony Holland a supple ectomorph who did hi...

Re: The mystery of Charley Hackenschmidt

On the issue of whether Georg Karl Julius Hackenschmidt had a brother -he did, and Bruno was his name.
Bruno was also a wrestler.
He also had a sister Alice.
The Swedish link was through his mother Ida Louise Johansson.
Georg retired in 1911 and lived for a further 57 years.

... as regards Charles Hackenschmidt.
He wasn't a brother of George he was his cousin.
He trained with George it seems.
