Re: BACK TO THE BENCH

I, too, did the same thing. I was anxious to get my bench press moving again as it had been stagnate for some time now. Nothing I was doing was working and I all but gave up on it. I decided to do some research. I found a blog involving eastern bloc style powerlifting. After some further research an...

Re: training tips illustrated

Advice taken and I suggest you do the same . Every time you rack a squat or are at the tail end of a set of heavy benches you put vastly more pressure on your neck then what I pictured in the band push-up . Repositioning of the band was mentioned a couple of posts ago and you have a good point if t...

Re: training tips illustrated

IMG_0001.jpg Guy looks kind of like Chet Yorton ... As a person with herniated discs in his neck I would never recommend doing pushups with a band around one's neck to anyone. However, I would and could see doing them with a band around one's upper back, but around the neck looks like a recipe for ...

Re: Pull Up Push Up Routine

During my divorce a few years ago, and when money and resources were limited, and because I NEEDED to train, I had a enough money to purchase a really solid door way chinning bar that mounted to the molding of a doorway. Because this apparatus was really strong I was able to suspend my gymnastics ri...

Re: Natural lifting- summed up in one picture

For those of us who are uninformed can someone state, from left to right, who each of these gentlemen are. I believe Sean Connery was also at that contest or maybe a year or two afterwards. Many don't know that "James Bond" had done a bit of bodybuilding in his younger days prior to getting famous....

Re: Eder's training

Years ago there was this site called The American Powerlift Evolution. It was a series of articles from various magazines like Iron Man and Strength and Health that detailed his and other people's training from the 1930's through the 1970's. It was up until about 2009 or so and then disappeared. Som...

Re: Squat every day

I can't squat at all unfortunately. I look at pics of my as a child and I had knobby knees. I turned into a sprinter, with kind of skinny legs at the knee area, then ok upper Quads. Anyways, I loved squating. I got away from it for a year or two and was just doing DB at sides squats and Deadliifts ...

Re: TRAINING WITH FRIENDS

I've had training partners on and off for years, but probably in the last 15 years or so, I've preferred to train alone as I can focus much better and get the best out of my training. What I tended to find with training partners is we usually ended up talking more than training and a normal one hour...
