Monday
Humidity is no joke today (no view of the sky but still hot). It's gonna be 33c Wednesday and we've a lunar eclipse Friday... it's the end of days ha ha

Leg Press
to 320-kilos x 17 reps (my right calf went and cramped and refused to stop so...)

Power Squat Machine
(the power rack was in use so rather than wait... I also decided to see what I could do. I didn't quite max out)
to 320-kilos x 1 rep

Seated Leg Curls
to stack +5.5 stacker plates x 6 reps (hit the wall... maybe the power squats did it??). Then started taking a stacker plate off... do 2-3 reps... etc etc

Leg Extension
to stack x 17 reps

Two events happened in recent days which has sparked something inside me to train again. On Friday i was talking with a delivery man who called into work. He is a young strongman, full of enthusiam and we enjoyed a great chat.He is fortunate enough to live beside a weights club ie not a commercial gym. On the same night i started reading my new book InVinceable ( about Vince Gironda methods). But the first few chapters repeatedly slated strength trainers and contained blatant untruths eg "powerlifters are all fat", they " all blow out their joints". Then it came to diet, and plenty of spelling mistakes. That isn't me.That also sparked something in me. So anyhow i woke up early Sat, then recalled a twice per week power program in a Stuart McRobert Kindle book. It is by Dick Conner. So into my shed i went and during training played an interview with Dick Conner on Youtube. I think twice per week is perfect for me right now. So starting from scratch, swallowing ego and starting light.
Tonight:
Bench 65x5
BB Rows 60x5
Press 50x5
Chin Ups Curl Grip x 6
Squat 80 x5

Hi Guys,,I know I said today was Bent Row day, But I looked at the Pressing Power pamphlet under Articles and was inspired..

Did very well (for me)--solid

1. Seated Military Press 11 sets x8 add 15 lbs, x6 add 10 lbs, x3 add 15 lbs for working sets: 5x3,,,then I decreased down 30 lbs and did 3 sets x6,x6, and could only get 4 on last one. (it was pretty light, but in other ways it felt like a TON)
2. Lateral raise
3. Incline DB Press 4 sets, x10 add a few pounds x8,7,5

4. Exercise Bike 22 min to make it an 1 Hour exact workout

Feel very good right now, thats nice.

Welcome back Colin. In the end it does not matter what you really do,just do something and enjoy what you do.Follow your own path because someone else path leads you away from yourself, Glad you got the fire back.
