Health and Strength League

Post by Internalfitness » Tue Nov 07, 2017 11:52 am

I came across this agreement in a book I purchased recently, and what a lovely thing it is. The badges are quite common, but I had never seen a copy of this before.

Nice one Richie, thanks for posting.Very nice sentiments. Back in the day the league organized many activities including PC. vacations. Pity it ended but a different breed entered the game. What was the book you found it in?
Regards,Peter.

How fast was that turnaround I say? Less than four hours after the first picture, and we have our own version.

The B&W has been on the Tee-shirt thread for a couple of months . All I did was color it .

Fantastic find! When I read an old book, or listen to an old vinyl, I often wonder who owned it before I did. What was their story? And why did they sell or pass it on. Etc. Etc.

Hi Danny

The Bunce clan appear in the 1939 census.
Here is a Genealogy site taster.

It was in a book called the Theory of Gymnastics by Jonannes Lindhart, a really good book on teaching physical education in schools. Also of interest was a newspaper clipping from 1937 championing the effect the Nazi party was having on the German nations health!
