Thanks Steve and Danny for the updates. I have had torn ankle ligaments and it is very dodgy putting any weight on at all even walking especially with Eddies's bulk. The log lift may not be a go, still if only sprained or strained there is a chance, remember Doug Hepburn? Anyway wishing him a full and speedy recovery.
Regards,Peter.

Overhead Press (Log)
Arm Over Arm

Finals Events

Atlas Stones

Adam Bishop wasn't able to compete because he partially tore his left biceps last Sunday, so I wish him a full & speedy recovery. I read Big Z may have incurred a small injury in the log lift and I also read that Radz & Lalas ended up pulling out, but I don't know for what. I hope they're all OK.

Here's the official qualifying groups for the 2018 World's Strongest Man, this year sponsored by Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino (Coregenx didn't last long as the sponsor, did it?).

My predictions for the 2018 WSM qualifying groups are....
Group 1: Hafthor Björnsson and Laurence Shahlaei or Matjaž Belšak
Group 2: Brian Shaw and Vytautas Lals or Adam Bishop
Group 3: Žydrūnas Savickas and Graham Hicks or Robert Oberst
Group 4: Martins Licis and J-F Caron or Krzysztof Radzikowski
Group 5: Konstantine Janashia and Mateusz Kieliszkowski, and Mikhail Shivlyakov, Nick Best & Terry Hollands are real possibilities too. Group 5 is what I consider the most stacked qualifying group.
