Of course there have been hundreds, possibly thousands of products promoted to build up the body over the years that subsequently turned out to be useless. Even today, if you buy a copy of Muscular Development, about 70% of it is adverts for food supplements each claiming more outrageous results than the last! At least in the 50’s 60’s and 70’s those magazines also had lots of adverts for equipment we could buy either to start training on or improve our home gyms. These days it’s just endless adverts for snake oil to a gullible audience that makes the food supplement industry worth billions!
Does anyone remember what was going to be the turning point for all bodybuilders in the early 1980’s - Chlorophyll - The Green Steroid??

I bought a couple of bottles of CBD oil for Sleep, and it does help. (CBD Distillery).
Probably wont re-buy since its pricey, and the powder I use at night works better. (Primeval EAA Sleep w/ EAA's, a gram of GABA, and 2.5 mg of Melatonin).
I did notice a sort of "pain-numbing" effect, but it needs to be legit, so much out there is faked.

Dave, i feel you hit the nail on the head.Just as you say there is so much fake crap out there that unless one is savvy and it is just a waste of money. No real regulation as far as i can see.

Cbd is being marketed for every claim under the sun but which are actually legitimate, I'm not sure.

I think the "health benefits" of Cbd are actually a ploy to get western governments to legalise cannabis by getting it associated as medicinal with the public.

Considering it had taken generations to get smoking levels down with all the health issues that caused and big business trying to suppress the damage it caused, I'm not surprised that big business is trying to get weed a good pr image with Cbd.(I've seen plenty of articles in 1940s strength and health that tell readers to give up smoking and its cancer risks)

It's most likely hocus pocus apart from a few narrow fields but as it was mentioned above, there's very little regulation in the field.

In my opinion it's another vice we can do without. Coronavirus has shown how much health matters. We are going back to pre 1940s public health enforcement and quarantine measures.

We've been lucky for so long that TB etc has been nearly wiped out but it was endemic like covid is now before 1950 in the UK, not helped by mass smoking. Don't fall for the marketing crap about weed in the modern age of new virals that are on their way. We know how to stay healthy.

Tom, i tend to agree with you. There are only a few cases in which it would be warranted medicinally. I have had terminal cancer patients who used it toward the last few months or weeks so they could reduce or omit the pain meds that made them feel terrible. All reported better sleep and easier in their pain. For otherwise healthy people with some issues, there are other ways around them as Dave mentions with his sleep powder.Regular cannabis use will affect various organs in the body in negative way and also the brain. Not part of a health and strength lifestyle really.
