eamon toal has posted on facebook that eddie kershaw has passed.eddie was a british powerlifting champion in the 1970s he was a member of the great britain powerlifting team back then.eddie was the first person in britain to squat 700 lbs.he was a training partner with ron colins, tony fitton and eamon toal. he was a popular and likeable person. always helping and encouraging other lifters. may he sleep well.

Real sorry to hear of the passing of Eddie, he with guys like Ron Collings shifted some amazing poundages without the help of "special" belts and braces to aid the lift, his squats were to us guys using 300lbs out of this world. rip.Eddie, David Gentle

Hi Ray, just reading this.Sorry to hear of Eddie's passing.Most certainly a legend in British powerlifting when lifters were the real deal. RIP Eddie.
