Peter Yates
Hi All
Unfortunately I have just learned that Peter died on Sunday 27th December.
I’m afraid that is all the information I have.
What a terrible year 2020 has turned out to be

Re: Peter Yates
What a terrible shame, for a man so determined to do all he could to maintain his fitness and share his knowledge, who seemed to almost exist on a different plane, and who seemed to have a lot of life left to live.
Sincere condolences to his family.
Richie.

Re: Peter Yates
I was just emailing with him two days ago.
Peter was such a kind, wonderful man. He was so overly nice with his time and I always felt he and I were kindred spirits from a different generation. He's generosity with his time, knowledge and friendship was really something. A real gentleman and also a physical culturist from another era. Really someone I felt like I wanted to emulate. A role model to me and a friend. I really can't believe it.
I'm saddened. I'm going to miss him...
If anyone hears about a memorial, please let us know.

Re: Peter Yates
He was commenting on that very thing when he sent me, Steve, Diane, Colin, Ray, Thomas, Paul and Gil a Christmas message on Christmas Eve (a message I didn't respond to because my uncle had just sent me a message saying, in a nutshell, "Blame, Liar, Not a carer", which made me feel completely fed up all over Christmas)
"Great heavens, what is there to adulate in me? Am I particularly intelligent, or remarkably studious, or excruciatingly witty, or unusually accomplished, or exceptionally virtuous?"

I cannot believe this.
Such a great person who I am proud to call "friend" and actually got to hang out w/ in person.
Condolences to Madong and Robert...

Re: Peter Yates
Peter was a good friend of mine and most of you who are reading this post.
Even though we lived on different sides of the pond we met on many occasions
In England we have a rivalry between Lancashire and Yorkshire, Peter was a Lancastrian and myself a Yorkshire man, On our weekly Skype, Peter used to rib me mercilessly. Oh God am I going to miss it. Peter as many of you will know was the kindest, most caring individual I have ever known. He always put others first. he lived his life according to his physical culture creed. And I am informed he died just after finishing his training. He kept strong to the end.
My condolences go to Madong and Robert.
REST IN PEACE PETER THE WORLD HAS SUFFERED A GREAT LOSS
