Plate curling

Post by Henk1966 » Wed Apr 11, 2018 4:36 pm

Recently I read a book written by John Brookfield where he mentioned plate curling. Now I,ve picked this excercise up and I must say,it,s really great for making your wrist stronger.

At the moment I,m able to curl 15kg,let,s see where the limit lies, anyone of you guys familiair with plate curling?

Regards,

Henk

We've done it as a test of wrist strength in competitions. In my first David Horne, Mike Daly and I all did 20-kilos.

Hi Henk,
i have done it as an exercise. I feel it is good for martial arts training because of the unique stress it puts on the open hand and fingers.Have not done it in a long while so your post has prompted me to have another go.
Regards,Peter.
