So as you can see, trying to down-size (and fix up the house) can be rather problematic. :)

Hi Dave, easy to get attached to things, sometime you have to be ruthless.I too have much more than for my needs as i set it up so my martial arts guys could use it but they set up their own gyms, so. My son is more interested in bodyweight and expander training at the moment but may get back into the iron later,so there will always be some around.I think like you though i should make some young lads happy by getting rid of surplus.Madong might consider me surplus, ;)
Regards,Peter.

Ok.. (did I post this already?) if so, apologies, but just looking at this thread when I moved my gym. I ended up moving it back to the larger side, putting in new floor, etc...

Loving having the extra room back...

I just had to write again as this must be what heaven looks like for us old iron game fans. For example what beautiful dumbbells you show, they look just like the Inch dumbells are they duplicates? and what weights? the thick handles look exactly like the Inch ones which i am familiar with having had dozens of failed attempts to lift his challenge one, although i did see others like Bill Richardson lift them and our own Mobster did similar. I am going to pack up, ,as just getting too green with envy, you must either be single or have a very understanding girl friend/wife, how do you get away with it i would love to know, i have to sneak in via the back garden any old iron i just happen to come across.Quick story, John Grimek was able to lift over head another challenge dumbell, one belonging to Louis Cyr, not sure of the weight, circa 200lbs, when later in life i asked him if he still lifted it, jokingly as he was in his 70s, he said, why only last week i moved it.......he said, i now just kick it with my foot out of the way to get to my desk...I know our fellow mate Tom B, has a lot of similar dumbbells, wonder what he thinks of your superb collection?
