To be decided. The 20 reps with 90-kilo pinch is one and maybe, just maybe, 200-kilos on the deadlift for reps (thick bar etc). Unless I hear more I'm doubtful the Ukraine thing has gone quiet.

to stack + 5.5p x 10 hard reps - used the medium length double d bar

to 190-kilos x 4 reps (to stick at until I get 8)

My slow day of the week. I have a lie in etc etc. It's the only day I do.

Two Hand Pinch
Equ (27.7kg) x 20 reps, 57.7-kilos x 20 reps, 85.45-kilos x 10+10* reps in about 60-seconds.
I slowly add a 1/2-kilo a week, sometimes less.*The pause will be re-chalking and a few steps away. Slowly adding weight and the 2x10 is a good sign too

to 155-kilos x 3 x 1 reps (last one was with a spot - he may have helped me more than I'd like)

DB Rows
to 90-kilos x 8 reps (used a wrist strap - made it easy)

Hammer DB Curls
I did Sam Parker's challenge of 70's x 4 (I did 6 reps) per hand dropping to 35-kilos (I did 10 reps). No straps (I only use 'em on the 90's)

Tricep PUSHDowns
to stack x 12 reps

Wrist Roller
to 12.5-kilos x 2 x 1 reps (ran out of time)

So this is my Saturday training but been too busy till now. Feb 9/2019. Always been a big DB fan and have relegated Saturday to DB day. Many of the old timers did a large percentage of their training with DB's mostly of the thick handled solid or shot loaded type. Of course such training did not comprise of concentration curls, triceps kickbacks, lateral raises or incline flyes. The order of the day was single arm snatch, swing, clean and press or jerk. This type of training builds muscle, strength and coordination. With nothing more than a pair of adjustable DB's and a pile of disks some great workouts can be devised that can be easily performed at home in limited space. Bill Pullum's books give some good examples of how his lifters trained and are nice templates to follow. Anyway here is yesterdays session.
1 TBDL x20.I know this is not DB's but substitute for two heavy DB's and away you go.
2 1 DB snatch x 8 x 6, 2x4 add weight each set.
3 1 DB clean and press x 8 x 6, 2x4 add weight each set.
4 1 DB swing x 8 x 6, 2x4 add weight each set.
5 Cable front pull 3x12 alternated with
6 Weighted push up 3X12.
7 Farmers walk till bells fell out my hands.
DB's have thick handles made from using a 5" pipe nipple as a sleeve. This works the grip plus the bar revolves in the sleeve on the snatches. Really feeling all over today in a good way. These old timers knew a thing or two me thinks.

Monday
Leg Press
to 690-kilos x 8 reps. As always it's footplate x 20 reps to warm the legs, hips etc up. Then 200-kilos x 8 and 400-kilos x 8 to prepare. These are done to depth. The max is, as always, done to a shallower depth (from the safety bars)

SSB Squats
to 150-kilos x 6 reps. To the point where my ass hit's a bench (it means I make depth every time).

Seated Leg Curls
to the stack + 5.5p x 12+4+4 reps (again the squats take the edge off)

Leg Extensions
to the stack x 15+5 reps

Bwt: 297lbs

Upped another 1/2-kilo but damn I hit the wall today. I'll be staying with this for 2 weeks I think. Not far to go to 90-kilos.
