"Mark Lewis was at one time known as Australia’s most popular PC writer, but he also wrote for several British magazines including Vigour and Health & Strength. Early in his career he was a member of “The Saxon Weightlifting School Gym” in Melbourne, which was run by H. Sass a former pupil of William Pullum. At one time at a body weight of 168lb he was both Light Heavy and Heavyweight Champion of Australia. Among his recognized records was a two dumbbell, military press of 163 and three quarter pounds. In this fascinating article, he recalls some of the famous strongmen to visit Australia’s shores". -Peter Yates
